Elan launched the Across the Country charitable giving program to give back to the communities of our credit card partners. Part of the initiative includes in-person volunteer events which allows Elan staff to volunteer alongside our credit union partners. At two recent volunteer events, each selected charity was surprised with an additional $5,000 gift to support their mission.

Gold Coast Federal Credit Union and Elan volunteered together at Education Foundation of Palm Beach County on May 5, 2022. The foundation’s Red Apple Supplies program provides classroom supplies to teachers at no cost. The initial $12,500 gift funded supplies for 38 teachers. At the event, Elan surprised the charity with an additional $5,000 donation which increased the impact to benefit 53 teachers.
At a volunteer event on May 25, 2022, Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina was gifted an additional $5,000 on behalf of Elan Credit Card partner, Sharonview Federal Credit Union. The food bank allocated the $17,500 total donation to their backpack program which supplies school-aged children a backpack of food for the weekend and holidays who may go without. Elan and Sharonview staff packed 1,100 backpacks and added a fun toy from Elan to enjoy in each bag.
From food insecurity to education, and sustainability to housing, the work of these selected charities is inspiring. Elan is honored to be able to contribute to the communities of our credit union partners in such a meaningful way through financial contributions and time volunteering.
