Following a highly competitive and rigorous evaluation process of financial institutions across the country, Connexus Credit Union was named one of the 10 Best Credit Unions of 2022 by personal finance website NerdWallet.
Connexus ranked third out of ten credit unions that earned a spot on this year’s list. To select winners, NerdWallet reviewed the nation’s largest credit unions based on assets and membership and “rated them on criteria including annual percentage yields, minimum balances, fees, digital experience, and more.”
In their review, NerdWallet named Connexus the Best Credit Union for Checking, highlighting the competitive yields on their Xtraordinary Checking Account, with an APY more than six times the national average. “Connexus Credit Union’s Xtraordinary Checking Account earns 1.75% APY on balances up to $25,000,” stated NerdWallet. “It also reimburses up to $25 in non-network ATM fees each month. There’s no monthly fee.”
This marks the fifth consecutive year in which Connexus earned recognition from NerdWallet. The credit union previously won titles of Best Credit Union Checking in 2018, 2019, and 2020; and Best Mortgage Lender for HELOCs and Best Credit Union for CDs in 2021.
