At the approach to Westbrook, off Exit 48, lies a vacant piece of land that has been empty for years. Before the lot lay abandoned, it was home to a deserted gas station.
Atlantic Federal Credit Union is proud to announce that they are new owners of 90 Riverside Street and will open a new branch in the spring of 2022. Located near the shopping center with Kohl’s and Shaw’s at the corner of Riverside Street and Larrabee Road, Atlantic joins an exciting area.
Atlantic President and CEO Scott Chretien exclaimed, “There is a lot of community energy in Westbrook, and the development of Rock Row has been fun to watch. We are thrilled to be neighbors with all the great retail locations nearby and bring our team to the area. Construction of the new facility begins this fall. Westbrook Planning Board Chair, Rene Daniel, commented that it is a “fantastic architectural piece of art, that is going to be beautiful in our gateway.” Real estate broker, Tom Moulton from NAI The Dunham Group added, “Atlantic has an incredible vision. They are taking a forgotten piece of land and bringing it to life.”
