Missouri Central Credit Union’s President and CEO, Glenna Jarvis, has announced her plans to retire on June 30, 2021. The Board of Directors of Missouri Central Credit Union has hired D. Hilton Associates to conduct a nationwide search to find its next President and CEO.
“The Board would like take this opportunity to sincerely thank Glenna for her 33 years of service with Missouri Central Credit Union. Glenna’s leadership, knowledge, and commitment have helped make Missouri Central Credit Union what it is today. We are immensely grateful for Glenna’s commitment to serving our membership during her time at Missouri Central Credit Union,” said Sam Voyles, Chairperson of the Board of Directors. “We wish Glenna all the best for her retirement and success in all her future endeavors.”
Jarvis has worked at Missouri Central Credit Union since 1988 where she began her career as a Loan Clerk. In 1993 she was promoted to Vice President and CFO and in 1995 made a lateral move to Vice President and COO. She held that position until she became the President and CEO in 2003. Under Glenna’s leadership, services have evolved over the last 33 years to remain relevant to members. Glenna was instrumental in the design and building of the current headquarters location that opened in 1995. She directed the launch of ATM and Debit cards, indirect lending, online banking and bill pay, a mobile app, e. Statements, e. Signatures, ACH origination, business accounts, trust accounts, and so much more. In her final months, Missouri Central Card Guard and mobile payments with Apple, Google, and Samsung Pay will make their debut. Throughout her career, Glenna has supported the credit union movement as a Board member on the Kansas City Chapter of Credit Unions, the Missouri Credit Union Association, the Missouri Corporate Credit Union, and currently serves on the Board of the Millennium Corporate Credit Union. She was also a founding member of the Women’s Association of Credit Union Leaders. Glenna is also a member of the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club of Lee’s Summit.
“I have had an immensely gratifying and fulfilling career and have spent 33 rewarding years with Missouri Central Credit Union. It has been a privilege to lead this credit union, and I am incredibly grateful for the support and confidence shown by the Board of Directors over the course of my tenure here. By working together with the management, staff, and community, Missouri Central Credit Union is a financial institution that understands and meets the needs of its members, wherever they happen to be. My advice for leaders of the future is to practice servant leadership and treat your staff as you would treat your best member,” said Jarvis.
