Nymeo to assist credit union, community members experiencing hardship due to COVID-19

Nymeo Federal Credit Union is encouraging its members and the community to reach out to them if they are confronting or experiencing a financial hardship due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

“Our hearts go out to those who have been impacted by this virus,” said Victoria Johnston, President and CEO of Nymeo. “This is an unprecedented time in our history, and as a financial institution, we urge members and anyone in our communities impacted financially to lean on us for support. As a community-based credit union, we are here for you.”

Nymeo has developed products and services for those who have been impacted by the Pandemic including a special Emergency Member Assistance Loan with deferred payments, skip payment program on loans, loan refinancing, debt consolidation, waiving fees, financial counseling and budget planning. Credit Union members should contact Nymeo immediately if they have concerns about their finances. However, Nymeo also invites nonmembers to contact the credit union for information and support as well.

“Every situation is different,” said Johnston. “We have asked our members to reach out and tell us how we can help lessen their worries during this time of tremendous stress. We want to extend our products and services to others in the community. If we can help, we will.”

Banking is considered essential, and Nymeo ensures its members that continuity of banking services is an absolute priority for them. The credit union offers mobile and online banking and has a locally based call center. Nymeo also offers members access to over 85,000 ATMs without incurring a fee.
