SC Telco Federal Credit Union announces future location in Five Forks community

Upstate credit union will expand branch offerings with Simpsonville location in Summer 2020

SC Telco Federal Credit Union announced today that it will be adding a full-service location in Simpsonville’s Five Forks community. The new branch at 117 Batesville Road, Suite 200, Simpsonville, SC 29681 will be the Greenville-
based credit union’s seventh location - its sixth in the Upstate.

“With an 85-year history in the Upstate, we are proud to add a new location in Five Forks and plan to truly become a part of this community,” said Brian McKay, newly named President/CEO. “My family and I have roots in Five Forks. We live here. We play here. And many of our members do as well. We are excited to provide this convenient, new location to serve our current members and begin building new relationships in the community.”

Each staff member of the Five Forks branch will be certified as a Credit Union Financial Counselor, a designation of the Credit Union National Association.

“Traditionally, branches have been predominantly used for completing transactions. Since these transactions can now be conducted digitally, we’ve designed an innovative branch that fosters an environment for advisory services, paired with our suite of financial offerings, to help our members achieve their financial goals,” McKay stated.

In addition, the new location will feature state-of-the-art technology including the ability to quickly close a loan via a live video feed with SC Telco’s team in Greenville, as well as an interactive teller machine (ITM). Like an ATM, this technology offers more complex transaction capabilities. Members will be able to conduct transactions including deposits and money transfers or can choose to speak with an SC Telco representative via a live-feed video for additional services.

The branch is projected to open in the second quarter of 2020.
