CUTX wins Outstanding Business Partner from City of McKinney

WHO:       Credit Union of Texas (CUTX), headquartered in Dallas, has more than142,000 members and 12 store locations throughout North Texas

WHAT:     CUTX received an Outstanding Business Partner award from the city McKinney. Ten area businesses were recognized for their commitment to the community. CUTX has been very involved in multiple activities including:

  • Sponsor of the new McKinney ISD stadium;
  • Sponsored mini footballs the Division II football players signed and given to MISD elementary students;
  • Sponsored “Give Your Mom a Crepe Myrtle Tree for Mother’s Day” for MISD 5th graders;
  • Sponsored a luncheon hosted by the McKinney PTA on the upcoming bond
    election presented by City Manager, Paul Grimes and MISD CFO, Jeff Byrd;
  • Sponsored “Project Graduation” to keep graduating seniors safe on graduation day;
  • Sponsored a new teacher breakfast for area teachers;
  • Participated in the McKinney Education Foundation – Purses with purpose fund raiser, Trivia Night and scholarship delivery; and
  • Participated in Retirement Educators – Teacher of the Year award and Distinguished Student award.


WHEN:
On April 30, 2019,at the McKinney ISD Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon

WHY:        CUTX President and CEO Eric Pointer said, “We are passionate about our involvement the local communities; it is so very important to everyone at CUTX. Not only do we want to offer financial education to individuals but we also want to be active in local events. We want to make the communities we serve a better place to live, work and go to school.”
