Exciting design and technology changes are on their way as the award-winning design agency, BloomCU, begins development on Limestone Federal Credit Union’s new website. Ushering in upgraded technology, interactive content, and gorgeous design aspects, the new site will be up and running by Summer 2019.
Limestone FCU was founded in 1955 to provide affordable financial and banking services to the north shore communities of Michigan’s upper peninsula. They have played an active role in shaping local economic development and providing valuable resources for their members. Because of Limestone FCU’s involvement in their community, they wanted a website that accurately reflects member engagement and their ability to provide affordable banking options.
Limestone FCU’s Marketing Manager, Jessica Hayes, initiated the project as a way to move from a text-based website to a site that draws on imagery, interactive content, and financial tools. In talking with Jessica, she reiterated that Limestone FCU is a prominent contributor in the community, whereas their website lacked ways of communicating their involvement.
Throughout the process of developing the new site, BloomCU’s will focus on aesthetic characteristics that will result in a sleek, modern, and welcoming credit union website design. As for functionality, BloomCU will conduct card sorting exercises and usability tests to build intuitive navigation and interfaces for the site. Fast load-times and mobile-friendly browsing will also ensure convenient access from all devices.
Additionally, Limestone FCU’s new website will feature a natural language quiz bot and BloomCU’s personalization software called Persona. With Persona, website visitors are given a personalized experience based on previous website visits and implied preferences.
