At the 2018 CUNA Marketing and Business Development Certification Schools, 31 credit union professionals earning the Credit Union Certified Marketing Executive (CUCME) designation and 66 earning the Credit Union Business Development Professional (CUBDP) designation.

The Credit Union Business Development Professional (CUBDP) designation can be earned by professionals who demonstrate their mastery of concepts such as:
- Engaging internal stakeholders
- Business development strategy
- Determining target markets
