Police Federal Credit Union announces retirement of President/Chief Executive Officer

Police Federal Credit Union’s President and CEO, Danny Gregg, has announced his plan to retire.

“We are most grateful for Danny’s leadership and friendship over the past 23 years and for his unwavering commitment to serving the law enforcement community and their families,” said Clay Goldston, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “We wish him all the best for a happy, healthy and well-deserved retirement.”

Gregg took over the leadership of the credit union in 1995 and during his time as President and CEO, Gregg guided the organization’s growth to over 11,000 members and assets of more than $145 million.  Prior to this, he spent over 24 years working for the Metropolitan Police Department of Washington, D.C., most recently in the role of Inspector and Director of Finance and Resource Management.  Gregg completed his undergraduate studies in Administration of Justice at American University in Washington, D.C.  In addition, he is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Development Institute at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., the Senior Management Institute for Police Executives at Boston University, and the FBI National Academy at Quantico, VA.

Gregg has held numerous volunteer positions, including serving as treasurer  of the Catholic Police and Firefighters’ Society, as a member of the Political and Legislative PAC for Credit Unions in D.C., as vice chairman of the D.C Chapter Board for the Maryland and D.C. Credit Union Association, as a director with the Credit Union Mortgage Association Board of Directors, and as chairman of  the Board of Governors at Old South County Club in Lothian, Maryland.

“It has been an honor serving the membership of Police FCU for the past 23 years, I am confident that with the continued hard work, dedication, and the sound guidance from our Board of Directors, Police FCU will continue on its journey of serving the law enforcement community for many generations to come,” said Danny.
