Acclaimed speaker Steve Gilliland to headline CUANY’s Economic Forum

Renowned economist Dr. Barry Asmus, industry strategist John Lass also on the agenda

ALBANY, NY (September 19, 2013) -- The Credit Union Association of New York is bringing an impressive lineup of speakers to its Economic Forum next month, including acclaimed keynote speaker and bestselling author Steve Gilliland. Gilliland will take the stage Oct. 9 at the Albany, N.Y., event, which kicks off Oct. 8 and is open to all credit union leaders.

Gilliland is a member of the Speaker Hall of Fame and addresses more than 250,000 people each year, with audiences crossing over 29 different industries in all 50 states and in 15 countries. He is also the author of best-seller "Enjoy the Ride" and the founder of a multimillion-dollar com­pany named one of the fastest-growing privately held companies in the region by The Pittsburgh Business Times.

Joining Gilliland on the agenda are featured speakers Dr. Barry Asmus, a senior economist with the National Center for Policy Analysis and one of USA Today’s top five most requested speakers in the U.S.; and John Lass, SVP of Strategy & Business Development with CUNA Mutual Group and one of the industry’s most popular speakers and strategy advisors.
