Meritrust VP Byron Stout Selected for HR Professionals Honor

WICHITA, KS (September 13, 2013) -- Meritrust Vice President of Human Resources Byron Stout was recently selected for the Wichita Business Journal’s HR Professionals honor. Stout is one of 16 leaders from the Wichita area in this inaugural group of human resources honorees.

“We are delighted Byron has been chosen for this honor, but to those of us who work with him every day, it is recognition that’s very well-deserved,” Meritrust President/CEO James Nastars says. “Meritrust makes it top priority to take care of the employees who take care of our members. We appreciate Byron’s leadership and guidance over this vital mission in our organization.”

Stout has been with Meritrust for six years.

“I was really pleased with the caliber of the nominees in the first year of the program, and I’m disappointed that we couldn’t include more, as there were certainly deserving nominees who weren’t selected this year,” John Ek, publisher of the Wichita Business Journal, said in an article announcing the honorees.

Stout and the 2013 HR Professionals will be honored at a luncheon November 19.
