Senior Wells Fargo Executive Joins TMG as Vice President of Product

Anderson expected to accelerate payment company’s product and market expansion

DES MOINES, IA (August 9, 2013) -- Filling a newly created position in the senior management team of payments processor The Members Group (TMG), Ryan Anderson is joining the growing company as vice president of product.

According to TMG CEO Shazia Manus, Anderson’s global consumer insight, high-level financial experience and visionary perspective are expected to accelerate TMG’s product development and enhancement endeavors. It is a key strategic objective for TMG, which today processes more than 14 million payment transactions monthly and provides a wide range of payment solutions for financial institutions in the U.S. and Canada.

Anderson comes from Wells Fargo & Company, where he served in a variety of senior-level positions since joining the global financial institution in 2002, most recently as vice president of business & market strategy. As VP of product for TMG, he will oversee strategy and execution for the payment company’s product developments and enhancements. A recognized thought leader, Anderson has presented at several industry conferences and has led multiple strategy and advisory-group sessions to identify and prioritize key focus areas for product teams.

Throughout his 10+ years of global financial institution experience, Anderson developed wide-ranging experience in both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) strategy. Among his achievements is the leadership of program and process rollouts across 60 different lines of business while managing a team of 20 professionals across two countries. He has a proven track record of product-development and business-strategy achievement, including the 13-month turn around to profitability of a negative income foreign company. Anderson will work closely with TMG’s director of product development and leaders of various business units, as well as each of the Affiliates Management Company (AMC) sister companies and strategic partners, to ensure the highest levels of consumer-focused innovation.

Anderson holds bachelor’s degrees in accounting and finance from Cedarville University and a Masters of Business Administration from Drake University. He was named a Pew Scholar by the Pew Foundation. Passionate about politics and education, Anderson has served as an adjunct professor, a political campaign volunteer on both the local and national level, has tutored special needs students and currently serves as a board member of the Iowa Association of Christian Schools.
