Politically Incorrect and Surprisingly Beneficial

LEAGUE CITY, TX (August 8, 2013) -- On Friday, August 2, 2013 AMOCO Federal Credit Union came out to support the North Galveston County Chamber of Commerce’s 8th annual Politically Incorrect Dinner and Auction, which was held at La Brisa on the Creek.

The North Galveston County Chamber of Commerce is a network of businesses that bound together to help improve the economic development of the North Galveston County. AMOCO, a partner with the Chamber, was thrilled to hold a spot at their City Council Table for this event. Among the Mexican food, good company, red, white and blue ambiance and celebrity waiters, this was much more than just a festive event. The proceeds from the dinner and auction went to the North Galveston County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund, which will benefit students at Clear Creek ISD, and Dickinson ISD.

AMOCO’s own Marissa Stidham, who also served as a chairman on the 2012 Board of Directors for the Chamber, came and showed her support for the benefit. Amid the numerous guests, AMOCO is proud to say that many of their Select Partners were a part of the cause. As a strong believer in giving back to our community, AMOCO thanks The North Galveston County Chamber of Commerce and all their efforts they put forth for the event.
