Grand opening event set for July 27
WINSTON-SALEM, NC (July 12, 2013) -- Allegacy Federal Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in North Carolina, opens its new financial center at 1910 Peace Haven Road, Winston-Salem, on Monday, July 15. A grand opening celebration will follow on Saturday, July 27, 2013.
Allegacy remodeled the former Blockbuster building across from Whitaker Square Shopping Center where its current financial center is located. “We realized our members that utilize that location have a need for a more in-depth, full service location,” said Cathy Pace, chief executive officer, Allegacy Federal Credit Union. “This is a growing area of Forsyth County and we look forward to welcoming new and existing members and enhancing our offerings and service at the new location.”
With the opening, the current Whitaker Square and nearby Whitaker Park financial centers will close on July 12 and employees will relocate to the new center. Allegacy will maintain a depository ATM system at the current Whitaker Park financial center and the ATM in the shopping center at Whitaker Square will move across the street. The new location will offer the concierge-style format that features a more personal setting for transactions.
Lobby and drive through hours are from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday with extended hours till 6 p.m. on Fridays.
The Peace Haven Road grand opening celebration will be held from 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. on July 27, 2013. The family event will be filled with activities and prizes as well as an opportunity to tour the new facility and meet Allegacy employees. In addition, representatives from Allegacy’s non-profit organization, the Center for Smart Financial Choices, will be on-site for the event.
