Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union Advances into 2nd Round of Social Madness Challenge

AUSTIN, TX (June 19, 2013) Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union (GTFCU) has advanced into the 2nd round of the Austin Business Journal’s Social Madness challenge in the Small Bracket as of June 18, 2013.

Social Madness is presented by the Austin Business Journal’s parent company, American City Business Journals. It is a bracket-style competition that measures a company’s social media engagement on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google+. Companies compete in a local phase first with 4 rounds before a local winner is announced. Local winners then advance to the national competition where companies can earn $10,000 for the charity of their choice.

Greater TEXAS Federal Credit Union has been active on Facebook since May 12, 2009 and has 871 fans. GTFCU currently has 17 branches across the state of Texas and continues to grow with over 66,000 members.
