FREDERICK, MD (June 7, 2013) Ken Agle, a principal of NeighborBench, a provider of a cloud-based platform that connects credit unions with a team of compliance experts, will speak about the burgeoning field of enterprise risk management to a group of 158 credit unions in the greater Washington, D.C. area.
Agle has been invited to speak about this area of increasing regulatory scrutiny at the annual meeting of the Maryland and District of Columbia Credit Union Association, scheduled for June 9-12, 2013, in Ocean City, Maryland.
"Not so long ago, enterprise risk was considered part of the fuzzy territory of doing business as a financial institution," said Agle. "Today, the principle of risk and risk management has become one of the hot topics for financial institutions facing regulatory examinations and has given rise to the field of enterprise risk management."
The presentation is designed to give credit union officers a strategic overview of enterprise risk and how they can realistically organize their enterprise risk efforts to make the most of their available resources. NeighborBench offers solutions to help credit unions reduce some of the biggest challenges of compliance including cost, time and resource requirements.
The Maryland and District of Columbia Credit Union Association (MDDCCUA), the premier regional trade association for credit unions in the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia, offers the NeighborBench platform as a service to MDDCCUA member credit unions.
"Earlier this year, we partnered with NeighborBench to help our credit unions better address compliance issues, says John Bratsakis, President and CEO of MDDCCUA. By adding this advanced technology solution to our suite of products, it enables our members to manage their compliance needs more efficiently than ever before. "Compliance continues to be a critical issue for credit unions," explains Bratsakis. "We are very excited to have NeighborBench at our annual convention to discuss the latest in secure cloud technology."
