League of Southeastern Credit Unions and Affiliates Wins Seven Hermes Creative Awards

The League takes home three of the competition’s top Platinum Awards - LSCU also wins two Gold Awards and three Honorable Mention acknowledgments

BIRMINGHAM, AL/TALLAHASSEE, FL (May 9, 2013) The League of Southeastern Credit Unions and Affiliates (LSCU) has been awarded seven Hermes Creative Awards. The League took home three of the international competition’s top, and most prestige, Platinum Awards along with two Gold Awards and three Honorable Mention acknowledgments.

The LSCU Cooperative Image Campaign “Coffee” TV ad, Signal Magazine, and the JMFA Direct Mail piece were all awarded Platinum Awards, recognizing their excellence in terms of quality, creativity, and resourcefulness. Only 15 percent of the entries won the top Platinum Award, acknowledging them as the most outstanding entries in the competition. This is the third year in a row Signal magazine was recognized with a Platinum statue.

The Credit Union Service Centers of Alabama Video and the Leadership Development Conference Campaign received Gold Awards. As Gold Award winners, these entries were part of the 19 percent judged to exceed the high standards of the industry norm. Honorable Mention acknowledgments went to the Florida Governmental Affairs Conference Direct Mail piece and the LEVERAGE website.

LSCU & Affiliates has competed for a number of years with national brands such as Hilton, American Express, Coca Cola, Pepsi, Sony Music, Best Buy, Bloomberg, etc. and won awards from Hermes, showing that their creative ideas stack up against all companies not just credit unions.

Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition, administered by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals, for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing, and design of traditional and emerging media.
