Heritage Federal Credit Union Employees Volunteer Over 2400 Hours to Local Organizations

NEWBURGH, IN – Heritage Federal Credit Union is pleased to have been a proud sponsor/partner with 112 local non-profit organizations in 2012. In addition, the credit union donated funding and/or in-kind gifts of over $188,000 to these organizations in order to support their various worthwhile causes in the community.

Heritage Federal Credit Union’s employees, volunteer board of directors, as well as friends and families volunteered their personal time and talents to 66 community organizations. Overall 123 people volunteered more than 2,400 hours to local community organizations over the course of 2012.

Ruth Jenkins, President and CEO of Heritage Federal Credit Union said, “I am so proud of Heritage Federal Credit Union’s support of local community organizations and the level of volunteerism exhibited by our employees, volunteer board of directors, and our friends and families. These 2,400 hours were volunteered outside the typical work week in the evenings and on weekends, which means these volunteers gave up their personal time to support local organizations. The credit union movement was founded on the philosophy of ‘People Helping People,’ and our employees strive to uphold that philosophy every single day.”
