Community Resource FCU’s Employees Raise $1,227 for Charity with Bake & Craft Sale

LATHAM, NY -  Community Resource Federal Credit Union’s employees held a bake and craft sale on Friday, March 29 at its 20 Wade Road, Latham office.  The employees prepared cakes, pies, cupcakes, muffins and cookies, as well as Easter themed crafts including baskets, table favors and wreaths.  The employees raised $1,227 for their two charities, the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society and Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless. The funds will be deposited into the Community Resource Charity Fund to be combined with money raised throughout the year and distributed to the charities at year-end. Employees have planned several other fundraising events including the Haunted Asylum on October 19 and Pet Photos with Santa on December 7.

“I’m thrilled that we are able raise more than last year because we want so much for it to be successful when the employees work so hard beforehand making crafts, preparing for the display, organizing bakers and working the event,” said Betsy Kindlon, Community Resource’s CEO, who donated 100 crocheted and hand-made items to the sale.
