Dort Federal Credit Union Donates $1,000 to The YMCA

FLINT, MI— Dort Federal Credit Union donated $1,000 to the YMCA of Greater Flint, as a part of their “Partner with Youth Campaign”. The funds raised during the campaign allow the YMCA to provide financial assistance for memberships, youth programs, and camping experiences throughout the year.

“The YMCA of Greater Flint’s Partner with Youth Campaign raises funds to provide scholarships for youth and families to attend the YMCA.  At the Y, we believe that no one should be turned away because of an inability to pay.  We are able to fulfill this believe and commitment to our community because of the support of organizations like Dort Federal Credit Union.  We are grateful for groups like Dort Federal Credit Union who understand that when you give to the Y, your gift will have a meaningful, enduring impact right in our own neighborhood.  The YMCA is the nation’s leading nonprofit dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility,” said Janet Tweddle, COO of the YMCA of Greater Flint.

Dort Federal membership is open to anyone who lives, works, attends school, worships, or volunteers in Genesee, Lapeer, or Shiawassee County, or Deerfield and Tyrone Townships in Livingston County. Membership is also open to spouses, children, parents, siblings, grandparents and grandchildren – including all adoptive and step relationships – of our current or potential members.

Dort Federal serves the residents and workforce of Genesee, Lapeer, Shiawassee, and northern Livingston Counties through their network of seven offices and an interactive web site at DortOnline.org
