Sheahan, Spence to Keynote NAFCU’s CEOs and Senior Executives Conference

Washington - Authors Peter Sheahan and John Spence will offer credit unions innovative business development ideas for bottom-line growth at the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) CEOs and Senior Executives Conference, April 24-26, at the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa in Sonoma, Calif.

The deadline for early registration savings is Feb. 8.  NAFCU members and non-members are welcome.

“This year’s event is designed to help credit union CEOs and senior executives make invaluable connections with industry experts and each other,” said NAFCU President and CEO Fred R. Becker. “From keynoters Peter Sheahan and John Spence to our two networking events, there will be plenty of opportunities for attendees to exchange fresh ideas for facilitating success at their credit unions.”

Peter Sheahan is an internationally renowned behavioral change and business trends expert. He is the founder and CEO of ChangeLabs™, a global consultancy building and delivering large-scale behavioral change projects for clients such as Apple and IBM. As a global thought leader, his insights into business trends and the changing needs of customers and staff have made him a regular presenter on Fox Business, with additional appearances on ABC and BBC. Sheahan is the author of six books, including international bestsellers Fli!p and Generation Y.  Sheahan’s keynote presentation, sponsored by Deluxe Corp., will offer creative strategies for finding and exploiting new market opportunities.

Back by popular demand for the second consecutive year, leadership guru and customer service expert John Spence will lead a workshop for attendees to define their leadership plans. At 28, Spence was nominated as one of Florida’s top CEOs under 40 for his leadership of an international Rockefeller foundation, where he oversaw projects in 20 countries and reported directly to Chairman of the Board Winthrop P. Rockefeller. Since then, he has earned a reputation as a leading authority in the areas of strategic thinking, high-performance teams, advanced leadership development and superior customer service. He has been named one of the top 100 Business Thought Leaders three times, most recently for 2013. He is the president of John Spence LLC.

The conference also includes one of the final opportunities to hear Becker address credit unions before he retires from NAFCU in July.

Conference attendees will receive a copy of Spence’s book, Excellence by Design - Leadership.

The conference offers credit union CEOs, presidents and senior executives networking opportunities and interactive sessions addressing issues of vital importance to credit union leaders, including the current state of the industry, legislative and regulatory issues impacting credit unions, and more.
