Auburn Hills, MI, January 10, 2013 – Genisys Credit Union recently teamed up with Rochester Adams High School Investment Club to help educate students on the importance of saving and investing money.
The Investment Club consists of over 40 students and is led by teacher Janice Megerian. The purpose of the club is to introduce the principles of stock market investing and help students begin planning for their financial futures.
“We are very grateful for Genisys Credit Union’s sponsorship of the Investment Club atAdams,” said Janice Megerian, Investment Club advisor. “Their involvement helped encourage my students to learn more about the importance of planning and investing.”
All members of the club participated in an online game, investing in virtual stocks throughout the fall months. Student Sophia Bonito was awarded a $50 Visa® gift card by Genisys Credit Union for developing the largest growing stock portfolio this past semester. Genisys continues to promote student involvement by awarding small gift certificates to students who attend weekly meetings.
