Community is invited to grab their jeans and jam for babies!
Fairborn, Ohio – Wright-Patt Credit Union (WPCU) focuses on making a difference in people’s lives every day. But this February, WPCU will be helping make a difference in a new way! Showtime at the Apollo with the Groove Doctor – Rock for Babies, to be held Friday, February 22 at Wright State University’s Apollo Room, will be a first-of-its-kind live rock concert to benefit March of Dimes (MOD). Produced by WPCU, Rock for Babies will feature live music performed by one of Dayton’s most energizing groups: Groove Doctor, as well as dinner, drinks, and dancing.
WPCU President and CEO, Doug Fecher, and his wife Kelle, are co-chairs of the 2013 March of Dimes March for Babies and Groove Doctor band members. “March of Dimes is important to our communities because of the leading role they play in maternal and infant health, focusing on all babies – those born healthy and those who need help to survive and thrive,” said Fecher. “As co-chairs, Kelle and I have been challenged to raise $85,000 before May 31, 2013. With much appreciated help from many WPCU partner-employees, we just surpassed the halfway mark. Showtime at the Apollo with the Groove Doctor – Rock for Babies event will get us to our goal for March of Dimes.”
Businesses and organizations from all over the Miami Valley have risen to the challenge by becoming a sponsor, donating resources, or helping raise money for the event. McGohan Brabender and UnitedHealthcare have generously supported the event as Super Top Dog Presenting Sponsors.
