Free Safe Deposit Boxes, iPad Mini Drawing, Food Trucks and Bevo the Longhorn Photo Opportunity Among Highlights of Event
AUSTIN, Texas (December 21, 2012) – December 5-15, 2012, United Heritage Credit Union celebrated the one-year anniversary of its River Place branch located at 10815 Ranch Road 2222, Austin, Texas. Anniversary activities kicked-off on Wednesday, December 5, when members and local residents were invited to visit the branch to enjoy complimentary food and beverages, play Plinko to win prizes, and vote to help a local school win $500. Special anniversary offers included free safe deposit boxes and two chances to win an iPad Mini. As a result, new memberships and new accounts were opened at triple the normal pace for the River Place branch.
“We’re excited about the new members we’ve gained and the additional accounts opened by existing members. The anniversary events and promotions have helped United Heritage gain more traction in the River Place area,” says branch manager Trey Bertelson.
Anniversary activities continued into the weekend with a family-friendly community event held Saturday, December 8, on the grounds of the River Place branch. The well attended, outdoor event featured numerous free activities including photo opportunities with Bevo the famous University of Texas longhorn mascot, local balloon artist and face painters, Mickey Mouse Park children’s bounce house, and chair massages from a professional massage therapist. The Credit Union provided complimentary beverages and food from a local bakery, traveling cupcake trailer and an upscale food truck. A promotion for kids to receive free $2.00 bills from the branch manager was also a success, with over 80 children participating.
Jenny Laudadio, Director of Marketing for United Heritage explains, “We really wanted the event to have a significant local flair and flavor. In the Austin area, gourmet food trucks and Bevo the longhorn are both very popular. We were extremely pleased with the number of people who came with their children and enjoyed the food and fun.”
Anniversary specials, including two chances to win an iPad Mini, free safe deposit box for a year, and opportunity to vote and help a local school win $500, were available through December 15. The school donation contest included River Place Elementary, Four Points Middle School and Vandegrift High School. The winner, Vandegrift High School, will use the $500 donation for their 2013 Project Graduation. The donation was presented to school representatives on December 20 at a Four Points Chamber of Commerce luncheon.
The United Heritage River Place branch is a full-service facility with three drive-thru lanes including one for commercial use, a drive-up ATM, 366 safety deposit boxes in four sizes, a free lobby coin machine and refreshment area with free cappuccino.
