Christmas Treat for Lucky Credit Union Members

Castle & Minster Credit Union have recently been successfully promoting a recommend a colleague for membership scheme and re-promoting our members' lottery.

3 luxury Christmas hampers worth £100, have been provided as an additional incentive to encourage existing members to nominate people who live or work in the Kirklees area to join their local credit union and also encourage existing credit union members to join our members' lottery.

A photo call has been arranged on Wednesday 12 December at 1.00 pm, Castle & Minster Credit Union, Civic Centre 1, High Street, Huddersfield when the 3 lucky winners will be presented with their hamper. Tony Hood, Chair of the Board of Directors at Castle & Minster will present a hamper to :

Rehana Kauser - new monthly lottery draw member   

Wendy Blakeley - recommended a colleague for membership and saving through our work place saving scheme

Gaynor Watson - who was recommended for membership by Wendy and is now saving regularly with us.

Tony Hood, Chair of the Board of Directors has said "Congratulations to all 3 competition winners. I am please to say that we have had many new members over the last 2 months signing up to save through payroll deduction.  As well as benefiting from joining our hassle free, secure work place saving scheme and accessing competitive, flexible loans with no hidden costs, Gaynor has also won a luxury Christmas hamper. The hampers have been provided by Hinchcliffe's farm shop in Honley and contain many locally sourced products.

We have also had nearly 40 additional members sign up to join our lottery which offers cash prizes of up to £150 each month. The lottery raises money to promote and develop the credit union and support our volunteers."

Gaynor has said "Becoming a Credit Union member was easy and I have nominated an
affordable amount each month to go direct from my wage to my new savings account. I'm saving for a car and saving in this way is stress free. I have also opened an account for my baby niece so I can treat her on birthdays and Christmas and help build a nest-egg for her future."
