MADISON, Wis. — The final presentations for CUES Next Top Credit Union Exec competition are just around the corner – mark November 5, 2012, on your calendar. The competition is supported by a partnership with CUES Supplier member DDJ Myers Ltd. ( http://www.ddjmyers.com ) of Phoenix.
The five young credit union employees have been blogging and posting videos at NextTopCreditUnionExec.com ( http://www.NextTopCreditUnionExec.com ) about their respective projects in preparation for the face-off event taking place during CUES' CEO/Executive Team Network ( http://www.cues.org/cnet ) in Manalapan, Fla. The five Finalists are:
- Jill Huls, Conexus Credit Union, Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada
- Ashley Kohlrus, Allegacy Federal Credit Union, Winston-Salem, N.C., USA
- Nate Muniz, Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union, Harrisburg, Pa., USA
- Cas Scott, CPS Community Australia, Hunter Valley, New South Wales, Australia
- Peter Walker, OSU Federal Credit Union, Corvallis, Ore., USA
The Finalists will have 10 minutes to recap their projects for the judging panel and audience, who will vote for their favorite Finalist.
According to CUES member and judge Dr. Desreen Marquis, CEO of NAJ Co-operative Credit Union in Kingston, Jamaica, “In this International Year of Co-operatives, credit unions lead the way by demonstrating the co-operative spirit. These Finalists have freely shared their stories, their ideas, and themselves with people all over the world. Thousands of people have learned about the great ideas that come from credit unions and our focus on serving our members. This is how credit unions will attract younger members, younger leaders and employees, and continue to thrive.”
From 1:45-3:15 p.m. Eastern time on November 5, the public will be able to view the presentations via a live stream at NextTopCreditUnionExec.com ( http://www.NextTopCreditUnionExec.com ). Then between 3:30 p.m. on November 5 and 8:00 p.m. on November 6, the public can vote online for their favorite Finalist. The Finalist with the highest score based on audience votes, online votes and social media engagement, as well as the judging panel results, will earn an educational prize package valued at $20,000 and the title of CUES Next Top Credit Union Exec.
