San Francisco FCU Lights The Night for Leukemia & Lymphona

San Francisco, Calif. (October 30, 2012) – San Francisco Federal Credit Union raised $2,670 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in October.

During the first half of October, San Francisco Federal Credit Union staff conducted a variety of activities to collect funds and raise awareness and support for leukemia, lymphoma and other blood diseases. The Credit Union raised funds through a silent auction, mashed potato bar, and jeans day.

San Francisco Federal Credit Union’s fundraising drive culminated at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk on October 18. Thirteen employees participated in the 2-mile walk through San Francisco’s Union Square.

“The energy and enthusiasm of our employees to support the fight against blood cancers is incredible! Giving of themselves to our community is something our dedicated employees love to do,” team captain and Organizational Development Manager, Rose Halford.
