New mobile tool enables real estate agents to manage short sale and REO assignments from handheld devices
LOS ANGELES, CA — October 24, 2012 — Equator, the national leader in default servicing technology, has launched EQagent Mobile, the mortgage industry’s first mobile servicing solution tailored to specifically address the needs of “on-the-road” real estate professionals. It provides agents with “anytime, anywhere” access to Equator’s EQ Platform™, enabling them to increase their productivity and success by managing their short sale and REO property assignments while away from the office, on appointments or otherwise in the field. The new mobile web portal supports both Apple and Android mobile devices and is available at no charge to agents with free registered accounts.
With EQagent Mobile, agents can view and manage servicer-specific tasks, receive and respond to messages for property assignments, upload photos to the EQ Platform, and view short sale and REO property listings and details. The new solution, which enables agents to respond immediately to inquiries and assignments from their servicing partners, helps servicers stay connected with agents even when the agent doesn’t have access to a computer.
“Most successful real estate professionals spend a considerable amount of their work hours in the field helping buyers and sellers. That can make it difficult to quickly respond to short sale and REO listing opportunities, or to manage their existing listings with the most efficiency,” said Chris Saitta, CEO of Equator. “We realized there was no easy way for agents to work on their property assignments through the EQ Platform when they are away from the office. That’s why we created EQagent Mobile. Agents can now have direct access anytime, in the palms of their hands.”
“Two-way communication and fast response times are absolute musts in today’s market,” added Equator COO John Vella. “Lag times caused by the commute to a computer can stretch out a transaction, and can cause real estate agents to miss opportunities. We’re giving a competitive edge to the agents and servicers who are hungry to seize the opportunities presented by this market.”
