Marshall Community Credit Union (MCCU) is pleased to announce Erin Thornton has joined the credit union as the Compliance Manager. In her role, Thornton will serve as the Compliance, Bank Secrecy Act, and Security Officer, ensuring the credit union adheres to regulatory requirements while maintaining the highest standards of safety and security for our members.
Thornton brings extensive expertise in regulatory compliance, bolstered by Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist and Certified Credit Union Compliance Expert certifications. She built her career over the last thirteen years with Kalsee Credit Union and has over eight years of compliance experience.
Known for her ability to provide clear and compassionate guidance, Thornton excels at translating complex regulations into practical, member-focused procedures. Her adaptability and developer mindset allow her to anticipate challenges, implement proactive solutions, and support continuous improvement throughout the organization. With a positive, team-first approach, she is committed to helping MCCU maintain operational excellence while supporting both staff and members with empathy and integrity.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Thornton is the Varsity Volleyball Coach at Delton Kellogg High School.
