The FCU team powered by Shell FCU launches fresh website to fuel volunteer spirit and community giving

Deer Park, TX (April 24, 2025) |

Shell Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the official launch of its newly redesigned FCU (Furthering Community Unity) Team website at www.govolunteertoday.org. Just in time for National Volunteer Week, the new website went live in April alongside the ongoing efforts of the 19th annual Everyone’s Gotta Eat Food Drive.

Founded in 2008, the FCU Team, powered by Shell FCU, was established to inspire acts of service through teamwork and a shared commitment to social responsibility. The updated website offers a fresh, modern platform for volunteers, community partners, and supporters to learn, connect, and take action.

“We’ve taken everything people love about the FCU Team and brought it to life online with a modern, user-friendly design. If you’ve ever thought about giving back or wanted to know more about what we do, this is the perfect place to start,” said Traci Gianukos, VP of Marketing at Shell FCU. “This launch couldn’t come at a better time. It reflects our passion for giving back and bringing people together to serve.”

Everyone’s Gotta Eat – Now Through May 3rd

In conjunction with National Volunteer Week, the Everyone’s Gotta Eat Food Drive is underway across all Shell FCU branches, with red collection barrels set up in each lobby. This annual campaign supports local food pantries and animal shelters by collecting:

  • Non-perishable food items
  • Pet food and supplies
  • Household essentials

This year’s drive has expanded to include six school partners: La Porte Elementary, Mae Smythe Elementary, Bailey Elementary, Bobby Shaw Middle School, North Shore Elementary, and Landolt Elementary. These campuses are gathering donations to help meet the heightened summer demand.

Donations can also be made through the Amazon Wish List at https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/XJ6CGQBULQZQ, which ships directly to Shell FCU for distribution.
