Quantum Governance, L3C launches the Michael G. Daigneault Excellence in Governance Grant to empower credit unions and nonprofits

Henniker, NH (April 18, 2025) |

Quantum Governance, L3C is thrilled to announce the launch of its groundbreaking governance grant program, honoring Co-Founder and Principal Consultant Michael G. Daigneault. This initiative aims to strengthen the governance capabilities of nonprofits and small credit unions, empowering them to drive positive change and enhance their community impact through excellence in governance and leadership.

"In an ever-evolving landscape of diverse thinking and values, the importance of effective and ethical governance in the credit union and nonprofit sectors cannot be overstated," said Quantum Governance CEO Jennie Boden. "The highest-performing Boards and C-suite leaders must not only model accountability and integrity but also guide their organizations in achieving their visions and missions. We are so proud of Michael's leadership and are honored to celebrate his contributions with this grant."

Michael G. Daigneault is a widely recognized thought leader in governance and strategy, an accomplished educator, and a sought-after keynote speaker. Together with his wife Alessandra Via Daigneault, he founded Quantum Governance in February 2012 with a singular goal: to help mission-driven organizations like credit unions and nonprofits govern themselves more effectively.

The Michael G. Daigneault Excellence in Governance Grant will provide pro bono governance assessment, workshop, consulting, and implementation support to one nonprofit and one credit union each year that aspires to elevate their governance structures and practices. By addressing the unique needs of each organization, the grant will promote a leadership culture founded on trust and ensure long-term sustainability of their vision and mission.

Eligibility and Application Details:

  • S. credit unions with assets of $250 million or less.
  • 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations with budgets under $1 million.
  • Two grants will be awarded annually – one to a nonprofit and one to a credit union– to provide a pro bono governance assessment, workshop, consulting, and implementation support.

"We believe credit unions and nonprofits play a vital role in addressing social and financial challenges while enhancing community well-being. Their ability to create lasting change is directly influenced by the strength of their governance practices," said Mr. Daigneault.
