Consumers Credit Union welcomes an office manager to the new Marshall office opening at the end of June and a mortgage loan officer to serve the Grand Rapids market. Jenny Modert will be leading the Marshall team, while Dan Johnson will be assisting members throughout the Grand Rapids area.
Modert brings over 25 years of experience in the customer service industry with over 17 years of that time dedicated to banking. She has held multiple positions within a bank, starting as a teller and working her way to branch manager. This has prepared her with the skills and knowledge necessary to confidently provide solutions to members’ needs.
“I love to be able to make an impact in people’s lives,” said Modert. “Whether it’s putting a member in a better financial position with a customized solution for their needs, helping a colleague advance in their career or providing support in my local community.”
Modert is highly involved in the Marshall community as a chamber ambassador for the Marshall Chamber of Commerce, a troop leader for the Girl Scouts and treasurer, secretary and camp coordinator for her local Boy Scout troop. She is also the assistant director and a 5th/6th grade cheer coach for Marshall Junior Cheerleading.
Joining the mortgage department is Dan Johnson, a mortgage loan officer with 25 years in the residential mortgage industry. For the past 15 years he has worked in retail banking and lending, which has helped him create personalized financial solutions that meet the differing needs of members.
“For me, mortgage lending is not just about loans—it’s about people,” said Johnson. “I love getting to know members, understanding their goals and being the trusted partner who helps make homeownership a reality. There’s nothing better than that moment when a member realizes their dream home is within reach, and I’m honored to be a part of that journey.”
