MADISON, WI (April 2, 2025) |
The Global Women’s Leadership Network (GWLN), a program supported through the Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions (WFCU), has partnered with eLeadership Academy® to launch a series of leadership development initiatives aimed at empowering credit union women worldwide.
The partnership will leverage GWLN’s expansive global network and eLeadership Academy’s expertise in leadership training to implement programs that enhance leadership capabilities, strengthen professional connections and create lasting value for GWLN members and Sister Societies.
“We’re very excited about this partnership with eLeadership Academy. At GWLN, we are committed to fostering leadership growth and providing our members with meaningful opportunities for professional development,” said Eleni Giakoumopoulos, GWLN Director. “This collaboration will equip our members with the skills, knowledge and connections they need to lead and make meaningful impact within the global credit union movement.”
EmpowHER Hour: Monthly Interactive Leadership Sessions
The partnership introduces EmpowHER Hour, a nine-session, hour-long interactive series hosted by eLeadership Academy, featuring Certified Executive Coaches and inspiring credit union women as spotlight guests. Taking place on the first Thursday of each month from April to December 2025, these sessions will provide real-time discussions, Q&A opportunities and actionable leadership insights. Zoom translation will be available in multiple languages to ensure inclusivity. EmpowHER Hour is exclusively available to GWLN members with an active 2025 membership.
EmpowHER Hour 2025 Schedule: April 3, May 1, June 5, July 3, August 7, September 4, October 2, November 6, December 4.
Personal Leadership Development Webinars
In addition to the monthly sessions, eLeadership Academy will deliver two exclusive 60-minute webinars for GWLN members focused on key leadership topics:
- Building and Sustaining Trust – May 20,
- Coaching for Performance – September 16.
These interactive webinars will include live Q&A sessions, real-time language translation and on-demand access for one week, post-session.
GWLN Sister Society Scholarship
To further support leadership development, GWLN will provide a scholarship for one of its Sister Societies to access eLeadership Academy’s educational offerings. The scholarship will be awarded to the Sister Society from a dues-paying country that recruits the most new GWLN members in 30 days. The recipient can use the scholarship for webinars, workshops or leadership courses exclusively for their Sister Society.
“We are honored to join forces with GWLN to champion the leadership growth of credit union women around the globe,” said Sandra McDowell, CEO and Founder of eLeadership Academy®. “Through this partnership, we are creating accessible, actionable learning experiences that empower leaders to grow, connect and lead with confidence.”
McDowell, an executive coach and recognized authority in leadership development, has extensive experience and advanced certifications in Leadership, Coaching, NeuroLeadership and Human Resources. As the founder of eLeadership Academy, she has helped thousands of professionals enhance their leadership capabilities through cohort-based training, expert faculty coaching and hands-on learning experiences exclusively for credit unions.
