Capital Credit Union opens 2025 Elevate Communities applications

Green Bay, WI (February 11, 2025) |

Capital Credit Union is excited to announce that applications are now being accepted for its 2025 Elevate Communities Program, a dedicated initiative to assist local fire, police, and EMS organizations in obtaining or upgrading lifesaving resources.

Established in 2018, the program is designed to ease the financial and time constraints civic organizations face when fundraising for essential equipment. To date, Elevate Communities has granted over $700,000 to help local departments and service organizations enhance their ability to protect their communities more effectively.

The 2025 application window is now open and will close on March 31, 2025. Applicants can submit requests for awards up to $100,000. Eligible organizations include fire, police, and EMS departments located in Brown, Calumet, Door, Fond Du Lac, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Marathon, Marinette, Menominee, Oconto, Outagamie, Portage, Shawano, Sheboygan, Waupaca, and Winnebago counties.

Previous recipients have used grants to acquire critical tools such as:

    • E-bikes for Green Bay police officers to improve mobility and response times.
    1. Gear washers and drying racks to protect Appleton firefighters from the cancer risks of contaminated turnout gear.
    1. A rescue boat for Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue to conduct waterway rescues quickly and safely.
