RICHLAND, WA (February 11, 2025) |
Gesa, a community-focused credit union, today announced it is launching two new co-branded Affinity debit cards to support Pullman Public Schools and Pullman High School. With every swipe of these cards, Gesa members will help raise funds that directly benefit education, athletic, and extracurricular activities across the district.
“Pullman Public Schools and Pullman High School are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Gesa Credit Union to empower the next generation with the tools, resources, and experiences they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom,” Bob Maxwell, Superintendent at Pullman Public Schools. “This partnership will enhance student programs and address funding gaps in extracurricular activities, sports, and clubs, ensuring greater accessibility for every student. By investing in initiatives that inspire growth, inclusion, and innovation, Gesa Credit Union is standing alongside us in building a brighter and more equitable future for our entire community.”
Gesa’s Co-Branded Affinity Debit Card Program supports local schools by donating money to partner districts each time a card is used. Launched in 2015, to date the Affinity Debit Card Program has raised more than $1.8 million for local partner school districts and universities, awarding more than $380,000 in funds through the program in 2024 alone. With the addition of these two new cards, Gesa expands its Affinity Card offerings in the Pullman area, which already includes a card supporting Washington State University.
“Gesa has a long history of supporting Pullman, from championing education and student-athletics at WSU to empowering local schools and healthcare heroes. We are excited to expand on that with the launch of these two Affinity Debit Cards,” said Brandon Allison, AVP of Training, Education and Community Relations at Gesa Credit Union. “We are dedicated to providing students and educators with the resources and opportunities they need to thrive both academically and beyond. This partnership represents our commitment to building a brighter future for Pullman schools and the greater community.”
The co-branded Affinity Debit Cards are available exclusively at Gesa Credit Union and are free to Gesa members with a checking account. There is no fee for members to switch their card to any of the school designs. Anyone who lives, works, or worships in Washington, and select counties in Idaho or Oregon is eligible to become a member and support local causes.
