CHICAGO, IL (December 3, 2024) |
In honor of Giving Tuesday tomorrow, the GLCU Foundation for Financial Empowerment, the charitable and volunteer arm of Great Lakes Credit Union, is encouraging local communities to help reach its $10,000 fundraising goal. These donations will allow the GLCU Foundation to affect positive change in Chicagoland communities, financially empowering everyone, regardless of socioeconomic status and making a tangible difference.
The GLCU Foundation embodies the credit union philosophy of “people helping people” as evidenced by the valuable financial resources, education, and tools the organization provides to individuals in local communities who are working to secure their financial futures.
From volunteering at local food pantries and facilitating youth financial education events, to hosting financial workshops and providing educational scholarships, the GLCU Foundation is committed to building the financial well-being of community members, employees, and local communities.
