Freeport, NY (November 21, 2024) |

Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union, completed their annual Holiday Food Drive to benefit local families in need this holiday season. Donations that were accepted at OFFCU branches were delivered to the food pantry at Our Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church located in Freeport, NY.

“At Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back,” said Joe Tedesco, President & CEO of OFFCU. “We do a food collection every year, this is my fifth since joining Ocean Financial, and it gets better every time. This milestone reflects not only our commitment but the generosity of our members and staff who make it possible year after year. Together, we’re not just building financial stability—we’re building hope and resilience.”

As part of the drive, OFFCU accepted non-perishable food, household and personal care items. These items included baby food, shelf stable milk, canned goods, sponges, garbage bags, baby products, paper products as well as other items such as blankets and clothing.

“We are so grateful to Ocean Financial for their continued support of our parish,” said Ana Sullivan, Food Pantry Director at Our Holy Redeemer. "Food insecurity remains a pressing issue in New York, as many families continue to struggle to put meals on the table. We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of donors, particularly during the holiday season, when the need is greatest, and every contribution makes a profound difference."
