LAFCU raised $15,100 for Children’s Hospital LA

In August, Los Angeles Federal Credit Union (LAFCU) raised $15,100 for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). The funds came from donations in their branches, by phone, through the transfer/donation tab in their mobile app and online banking, and from a PayPal link on their website. Initially, $10,100 was raised with an additional $5,000 matched from the Los Angeles Charitable Association, Inc. (LACA), the credit union’s 501(c)3 nonprofit charity.

CHLA is a worldwide leader in pediatric and adolescent health. Their mission is to build hope and healthier futures for all children which includes providing:

  • Family-centered care that treats the psycho-social needs of patients & their families.
  • Specialized pediatric care, including nearly 100 sub-specialties.
  • Surgical excellence and innovation, including 17,000 complex surgeries performed on pediatric patients yearly.
  • Clinical pediatric research center devoted exclusively to children.
  • Education and training of future pediatric specialists.
